Our Team:
Founders Lisa and Nancy
Lisa and Nancy started a friendship 6 years ago while Lisa was working at a home where Nancy lives. Lisa and Nancy had one special thing in common: they both had disabilities. As their friendship grew into something amazing, it inspired Lisa to look at what was possible for all people with differing abilities. Lisa had not had many limits in her life and understood at the same time what it was like to constantly have them show up.
This friendship was the inspiration for an organization created to help people with special needs discover how to become leaders in their lives, like Lisa did, and become leaders in their community.
The Cares Connected leadership team was gathered together in a special way. All of our team members have strong backgrounds in standing for people having a life that matters to them no matter who they are. They also have unique and important views that are distinct from all of the other members. Our goal is to have every person served become a leading member of this organization, directly contributing to what we are creating.
Brian
I joined the team because I want to be an outreach for others; to be an advocate for people that live in group homes. So that people in group homes have a voice in their communities.
Naomi
I want to support my son's desire to be a leader; to share my many years of experience as advocate for people with disabilities. To broaden the participation and leadership of our communities.
Najme Krasniqi
I was born and raised in a large, close-knit family. This gave me a natural passion to create community, and help people to feel a part of it. I truly care about the well being of others, and my heart goes into helping people define, and live the best version of their lives. I am carrying out my passion in helping people get access to these unique services we offer.
Becky Wortman
I believe in everyone having a voice and being empowered to use it to live a fulfilled life. This organization encourages that for some extraordinary people and I love being part of it!
